Summer Food Service in our area

The goal of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is to ensure that low income children are able to receive the
same high quality meals during school vacation as during the school year. The SFSP is a 100% federally funded
program administered by the South Dakota Department of Education. Free meals are provided to all children at approved SFSP sites operating in a period determined by the sponsor between May through September.
In our area the SFSP is in Huron at the middle school. Breakfast is served from 7:45-8:30 am M-F only until June 29, 2017. Lunch is Served M-F 11:00-1:00pm (ends at 12:45pm on Fridays)
