Important information for K-12 parents--Good morning!
Parents, please read completely the following information.
The elementary students’ materials are ready to be sent home, as well as materials from MS academic lockers. If you are a family that comes to pick up meals on Mondays, please let us know when you pull up for the meals that you would also like your child’s/children’s items.
MS and HS students may stop in to the school to see Mrs. BK on May 12, 13, or 14 between the hours of 10:00-3:00 to pick up academic and athletic locker room materials if they would like to do so before May 20.
On May 20, Expetec will be here for students in grades 6-12 to hand in their Chromebooks/laptops, chargers, and computer bags. If there are any damages to the charger or machine, a fee will be assessed. Also on May 20, students will need to return books, library books, and other school items. If your child is in elementary, and you would rather return your materials on May 18 during the meal pick up, that will work.
To eliminate a long wait for students/families and to keep everyone as safe as possible, we will utilize the following schedule on May 20.
Please come during the assigned time frame according to the first letter of your last name-
Please enter the main entrance and proceed to the Commons for item/computer/book return. MS/HS students will be able to retrieve items from lockers. Please bring a bag to put your items in.
If your time slot does not allow for you to come to the school due to work obligations, please contact Mrs. Boomsma-Kelsey to set up a different time that day.
9-12 parents—it is imperative that each student completes all of his/her assignments. The recommended due date for assignments is May 13. If your child does not meet that deadline, HS teachers will accept assignments until midnight on May 18. Any assignments not turned in by that time will need to be completed under the direction of Mrs. B-K and Mrs. Stevens during a summer session. We will be in contact with parents and students regarding the time frame for the summer session. We appreciate the students’ and parents’ efforts during remote learning, and we appreciate how hard students have been working.
To show respect for all students and their efforts, the summer session will be provided so that all students have completed the required work to earn credit for their classes. Teachers and paras have been in contact with students; please continue to check DDN campus for your child’s progress. If you have any questions about an assignment or its completion, please contact the teacher. There will also be a session for MS students that do not complete their work with information coming soon.
If you owe a lunch balance, please pay that balance if possible before May 21. If you are unable to pay the balance in full, please contact the office to set up payment arrangements. We understand that this is a difficult time and will gladly work with families.
We truly appreciate all of your support and the amount of time you have spent with your children in helping our teachers educate them. I am very proud to be a part of the Wolsey-Wessington District, and I look forward to seeing everyone at some point. The efforts of our students, staff, and parents have been amazing. Thank you for what your do for children every day!
